If you’ve been listening to the radio at all lately, you’ve definitely heard fun.‘s single ‘We Are Young’. It’s an anthem that speaks to a generation of young adults, encouraging a night full of…well, fun. Lead vocalist Nate Ruess sought out the partnership of Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff after the breakup of his previous project, The Format. The fan following of Ruess’s former band was devastated at the separation, but was hopeful that fun. would satisfy their newly formed void.
Their premiere album Aim and Ignite was released in 2009 and received praise from a multitude of critics. Well-mixed and providing everything a good pop album should, fun.’s kick-off proved to be solid start for the boys.
The 2012 release of Some Nights was anticipated with bated breath and anxious eardrums. The upbeat album provided the perfect mix of summer tracks and its popularity quickly swept across the United States, stretching its limbs into countries abroad.
On stage, Ruess personifies all that fun.’s music exemplifies and he does it well. His audience can’t help but feel intoxicated by the powerful lyrics and heavy drum beats soaring off the stage. fun. is bound to get the Sasquatch crowd moving and rowdy.
